About
I am a photographer, illustrator, designer and sketcher, who loves making pictures of all kinds. I first trained as a human geographer – an academic whose work was about understanding people and places. I love snow, ice and cold places. I also love drinking coffee and tea in warm and atmospheric rooms, an almost perfect pair. I love people, and getting to know their stories and capturing their faces and gestures in pen, ink and through photography.
I believe a beautiful image is made through a combination of curiousity and ongoing practice. Creating a great image is the result of seeing it, and having the technical mastery to turn this vision into a successful final product. I love people. I love learning their stories. And, more than that, I love sharing this love and telling these stories through pictures.
I am now based in central Victoria, where I live with my husband amongst the ironbark woodlands, heritage buildings, and good coffee and food that is Castlemaine.

Anna was the perfect photographer, never too obvious, but always around to capture the mood and spirit of the day along with all the big moments. "Anna has taken many photos for our family including newborn shots of both of our children (at 10 days old). We also had Anna take photographs of the four generations of women in our family ranging in age from 3 to 75 years old.
